OFF TO MADAGASCAR!

Its been a hectic couple of weeks but in a few hours we should be on the plane to Madagascar. Tnx to everyone who had been praying for this project - please continue to pray that all will go well when booking in (we're taking a lot of extra luggage for Myndert which means we'll be overweight and will need some grace...). Also pray for the team's clearance through customs in Madagascar, for political stability after last week's coup attempt (http://www.rttnews.com/Content/MarketSensitiveNews.aspx?Id=1483643&SM=1), and especially for open doors, strategic meetings and a revelation of God's will and plans for Philadelphia in Madagascar.

You can keep up with what's happening while we're over there by visiting Philadelphia's Facebook page from time to time:

God bless, and if you can stay in contact via Facebook (we should be able to log in from time to time)!

Madagascar SCOUTING MISSION in November

Philadelphia Project's work in Madagascar is about to take another step forward with South Africans Myndert and Marinda Bloem planning to join us as full-time missionaries on the island. As part of the process to help them settle in their new environment, we're undertaking a scouting mission at the end of November/early December to meet various individuals and visit several locations on the island.

Apart from Myndert and Manie B
osman (Philadelphia Executive Director), the team will also include representatives from the Bloem's 'sending church' (Doxa Deo East Campus). Please PRAY for this venture, and pray especially for the Bloem family as they move into this exciting new season in their ministry:

SCOUTING MISSION:
- Pray for the planning involved, as well finances for the various team members;
- Pray that the team will link up strategically with the 'right' individuals in Madagascar;
- Pray for the team's health and protection, safe travelling and unity in the group.
- Pray that this mission will serve its purpose and that, above all, God's will and vision for the Bloems and Philadelphia will be revealed.
- Pray for each team member & their families back home: Myndert Bloem, Jurie Kriel, Gustav Gavin, Andre Joubert & Manie Bosman.

THE BLOEM FAMILY:
- Ask God to lead them in every step and to reveal His will in every phase of this new season;
- Pray that God will supply in all their needs, especially in the monthly finances needed to support them;
- Pray that Christ will draw them nearer to Him as they boldly step out to make Him known to the people of Madagascar!

Dates for Madagascar Leadership Summit & Outreach 2011

At the Philadelphia Project, we believe that Christians have a mandate from God to co-determine "the shapes of things to come...". Our actions as representatives of Christ will help determine Africa's future, and as such we intentionally choose to make a positive impact. In 2011 Philadelphia plans to combine the annual Leadership Summit in Antananarivo with an evangelism outreach on the East Coast. This means there are ample opportunities for everyone who shares our passion for Christ and for Africa to become involved:

LEADERSHIP SUMMIT 2011-
This exciting event will be the third of its kind held in the capitol of this beautiful Indian Ocean island. We hope to see at least 200 leaders from all over Madagascar attending the summit from April 18-22 (exact dates not finalized yet) at the Hotel Fenohasina. If you're currently serving in a leadership position in Madagascar (in ministry or secular capacity), you should not miss this great event. For more detail or to book, contact us now at: victorraza@gmail.com or outreach@philadelphiaproje
ct.co.za .

EVANGELISM OUTREACH 2011-
At about the same time as the Leadership Summit, we aim to send an outreach team consisting of volunteers into the remote mountains north of Tamatave on the island's East Coast. This team will work with Philadelphia's local team and do groundwork for future church planting and leadership development in the area. If you've been re-created in Christ, have a passion for people, don't mind a fair bit of discomfort and are reasonably fit, you could consider joining us on this great spiritual adventure. For more detail, contact us now at: outreach@philadelphiaproje
ct.co.za (note that the outreach team will probably depart from Johannesburg on April 16 and only return there around April 27th).

YOU CAN BECOME PART THESE EVENTS BY:
  • joining as a volunteer outreach team member;
  • attending the Leadership Summit;
  • praying for these events (send email to prayer@philadelphiaproject
  • .co.za);
  • financially contributing to enable others to participate.
ALTHOUGH THESE EVENTS ARE STILL A LONG WAY AHEAD, PLEASE START PRAYING WITH US NOW AND TRUST GOD FOR A POWERFUL REVELATION OF CHRIST IN LIVES AND MINISTRIES!

SA Team Back Home after Leadership Summit 2010

We're back in South Africa after 10 blessed days in Madagascar, and we want to thank everyone who helped made this year's Leadership Summit the great success it had been. Over the weekend we heard more testimonies of what God had done in the lives of leaders who attended, and for that we give all the honor and glory to Him. At the same time, God always works through individuals, and therefore we want to thank you for your prayers, help, support and contributions without which this event would not have been possible. May He also continue to bless you and reveal His greatness in and through you every day of your life. Please continue to pray for Philadelphia's full time ministry and team in Madagascar. Pray especially for all the leaders from various denominations and locations who attended the summit and who are now facing the challenge of implementing and applying what God had revealed to them during the summit.

PRAISE GOD for Madagascar Leadership Summit 2010!

30 April, 2010

April 30, 2010

The Madagascar Leadership Summit is over and once again we're astonished to see how God works in individual lives during an event such as this. this afternoon many of the leaders testified of how the Lord opened new doors which gave them new expectations of what He plans in their lives and ministries. ALL glory to Him, we're looking forward to see the longterm fruit of this event!

Madagascar Leadership Summit: Day 2 (April 28, 2010)

April 28, 2010

DAY 2 of the Madagascar Leadership Summit was absolutely blessed. Topics included a Christian's mandate to reign, Gospel Progress 2010, and a Strategy to Complete World Evangelism. Thank you for being part of this exciting event, and please continue to pray for a powerful revelation of God's will in the lives and ministries of each of the leaders who are attending.

Madagascar Leadership Summit, DAY 1 (April 27, 2010)

April 27, 2010

Praise God for a blessed first day! Judging from the participants' reaction we're in for a very special week. Not only was the presentations about 'Unlimited God' and 'Identity in Christ' received with enthusiasm, we also heard some very encouraging testimonies about the outcomes of last year's summit. Please continue praying for a continued revelation of Christ in lives and ministries.
